Cleaning or simple maintenance of a raffia bag is simple, but you must be careful not to alter its quality. As for regular maintenance of your bag, simply scrub gently with a sponge soaked in water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. You must then leave your bag to dry in the sun, or during rainy seasons, dry it by dabbing lightly with a dry washcloth. If you want to clean a dirty raffia bag, add a tablespoon of coarse salt to a liter of lukewarm water, and gently rub your accessory with a soft cloth. Then let your basket dry in the sun, or dry it again with a dry washcloth.
